About Decade Software

Decade Software Company, LLC was founded in 1985 by president, Kevin Delaney. Decade's core product, Envision, was created as a result of a request from the Director of Madera County Environmental Health in California, for a more efficient and effective database management system than was currently available. The early goals of the product were to provide a data management system that could track facility permits and fees, staff activity tracking, and compliance information in a single system.

Since that first successful design, the company has continued to grow the product, offering to meet the ever-changing needs of the environmental health industry.

Today, with over sixty clients in ten states, Decade Software Company, LLC offers the most comprehensive end-to-end solution on the market. The core reason for our continued success is our commitment to both our clients and the Environmental Health Industry as a whole. The future of Decade Software Company, LLC is continued growth, fueled by our continued commitment to both our clients and the industry we serve.

The organization is divided into three functional areas; Development, Client Services, and Marketing. Each division reports directly to Kevin Delaney, President and the founder of the company. The following is a brief description of our management team.

Kevin Delaney, President

With over two decades experience in the data management and computer services industry, Kevin's extensive background in project management, systems analysis, and consulting served as a strong foundation for the creation of Decade Software Company, LLC in 1985. Kevin's resilient conviction to enable clients and develop proactively based on client feedback has lead Decade Software Company, LLC to become the leading end-to-end solution provider for the environmental health industry.

Darryl Booth, CTO

As Chief Technology Officer, Darryl Booth is tasked with evaluating new technology and incorporating appropriate technology into Decade's product offerings. With over two decades experience in software development and business management experience combined with a Master's Degree in Business Administration enable him to lead the development team and produce leading-edge, quality-focused products.

HL Arledge, Development Manager

HL Arledge is a certified ScrumMaster and RUP expert, leveraging over two decades of experience in software analysis and design experience to direct a diverse and highly-skilled development team. Since joining Decade in 1999, HL has demonstrated proven abilities in the areas of needs analysis, problem solving, assessing technical capabilities, refining software and business processes, conducting strategic planning, building and motivating teams, and managing cutting edge development projects. With a background in process improvement, as well as communications, networking, multimedia, and e-commerce, HL has made great strides in pushing Decade’s development team and product quality to levels of maximum efficiency. Prior to moving to California, HL owned and operated a software consultation and design firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Maria Mayes, Marketing Director

Maria Mayes leads the marketing and sales efforts for Decade Software Company, LLC. Maria holds a B.S. in Business Administration and has been helping regulatory agencies justify the acquisition of data management and field automation technology for the last 6 years. Prior to joining Decade, Mrs. Mayes worked in the telecommunications industry as a Regional Sales Manager for Harris Corporation.
